internal class organization improvements.
Oct. 11, 2005 - Fabian has joined the team as a 3-D modeller, he is from Uruguay and uses Blender to do his modelling. I've added a movie of some screenshots in SpaceFlight3d. Using xvidcap to capture the mpeg was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. The video doesn't do the game, or how hard it was to figure out xvidcap justice. (link to movie here)
Oct. 3, 2005 - Did some research into what other OSS 3D
space games are out there (Read details in
Project section). I hope that this little
bit of poorly-conducted and biased research shows that the
development of SpaceFlight3D is warranted, and I hope that some
lessons are learned which will help make this project
successful. Updated: added texture mapping to the objects, check
the screenshots for an example.
Oct. 1, 2005 - Help wanted: Graphic artists, 3D
modellers. - I've tried to do some modelling to make some
spacecraft in wings3d, ac3d, k3d, blender, etc, but I just plain
suck at it. As well, it takes a ton of time that should be spent

Other news: the .3ds loader is nearly finished, started work on
the bounding box, collision detection, and weapons system.
Sept. 29, 2005 - Help wanted: Web Developer.
I've posted a help wanted notice on the SF.net recruitment page,
hopefully someone steps up and wants to be involved in the
project by helping with the website.

the player to view the spaceship externally from behind, or the
side, with the camera following the ship around. Added

Sept. 26, 2005 - Added some physics to the
yaw,pitch,roll so that it accelerates/decellerates a bit. Added
a texture mapped skybox, this really improves the visuals.
Sept. 25, 2005 - Got the camera/player flight code
done using quaternions, and a simple HUD to draw.
Sept. 17, 2005 - Added some screen shots to the. 3D
spaceship model was loaded from a .3ds file, user can fly around
in 3D Space, simple starfield added, mostly so that one gets the
sense of motion.
Sept. 15, 2005 - Accepted to
sourceforge after only a
single rejection! Todo lits includes getting some code posted,
figuring out the cvs system, adding to the webpage. Developing
the engine and game are still the priority.
